Shaun Aron
Quality control and its importance in GWAS In the fourth of a series of seven H3ABioNet online lectures for Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS), the importance of doing good quality control for a GWAS will be discussed. The lecture will cover the types of errors one should control for, the specific bioinformatics tools used for quality control. Specific sample and SNP quality control steps that should be undertaken in a GWAS will be explored using...

Impact of nanoparticle-support interactions in co3o4/al2o3 catalysts for the preferential oxidation of carbon monoxide. Raw data related to an article by Nyathi et al., ACS Catal., 2019 (10.1021/acscatal.9b00685) for public access which can potentially be used, for example, for re-plotting of certain figures for inclusion in journal review articles or any other ethical research purposes. Note the data can be re-published with special permission from the American Chemical Society.

Goose vigilance and group size on golf courses in Cape Town (2015)

Alexander Atkins, Rob Little, Stephen Redpath & Arjun Amar
Vigilance is amongst the most universal of anti-predator strategies and commonly declines with increasing group size. We experimentally manipulated predation risk in a system with a known relationship between group size and vigilance levels to explore whether this relationship changes in response to elevated predation risk. We investigated the vigilance levels of Egyptian geese Alopochen aegyptiaca at eight golf courses in the Western Cape, South Africa, to assess the perception of and reaction to predation...
