A search is presented for the production of vector-like quark pairs, T$\overline{\mathrm{T}}$or Y$\overline{\mathrm{Y}}$, with electric charge of 2/3 (T) or -4/3 (Y), in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV. The data were collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2016 and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 35.8 fb$^{-1}$. We report a new analysis of the isospin splittings within the decuplet baryon spectrum. Our numerical results are based upon five ensembles of dynamical QCD+QED lattices. The analysis is carried out within a flavour-breaking expansion which encodes the effects of breaking the quark masses and electromagnetic charges away from an approximate SU(3) symmetric point. Superconformal Blocks: General Theory

In this work we launch a systematic theory of superconformal blocks for four-point functions of arbitrary supermultiplets. Our results apply to a large class of superconformal field theories including 4-dimensional models with any number $\mathcal{N}$ of supersymmetries. The central new ingredient is a universal construction of the relevant Casimir differential equations. Higgs inflation in metric and Palatini formalisms: Required suppression of higher dimensional operators

We investigate the sensitivity of Higgs(-like) inflation to higher dimensional operators in the nonminimal couplings and in the potential, both in the metric and Palatini formalisms. We find that, while inflationary predictions are relatively stable against the higher dimensional operators around the attractor point in the metric formalism, they are extremely sensitive in the Palatini one: for the latter, inflationary predictions are spoiled by $|\xi_4| \gtrsim 10^{-6}$ in the nonminimal couplings $(\xi_2 \phi^2 + \xi_4...
