Flavour mixings in flux compactifications

A multiplicity of quark-lepton families can naturally arise as zero-modes in flux compactifications. The flavour structure of quark and lepton mass matrices is then determined by the wave function profiles of the zero-modes. We consider a supersymmetric $SO(10)\times U(1)$ model in six dimensions compactified on the orbifold $T^2/{\mathbb Z_2}$ with Abelian magnetic flux. A bulk $\mathbf{16}$-plet charged under the $U(1)$ provides the quark-lepton generations whereas two uncharged $\mathbf{10}$-plets yield two Higgs doublets. Bulk anomaly cancellation...

We study the OPE of correlation functions of local operators in planar $N = 4$ super Yang-Mills theory. The considered operators have an explicit spacetime dependence that is defined by twisting the translation generators with certain R-symmetry generators. The WZ production cross section is measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV using data collected with the CMS detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$. The inclusive cross section is measured to be $\sigma_{\text{tot}}($pp$\to$WZ$) =$ 48.09 $^{+1.00}_{-0.96}$ (stat) $^{+0.44}_{-0.37}$ (theo) $^{+2.39}_{-2.17}$ (syst) $\pm$ 1.39 (lumi) pb, resulting in a total uncertainty of $-$2.78/$+$2.98 pb. We study the implications of single leptoquark extensions of the Standard Model (SM) under the assumption that their enhanced Yukawa sectors are invariant under global Abelian flavour symmetries already present in SM mass terms. Such symmetries, assumed to be the `residual' subgroups of an ultra-violet flavour theory, have previously been considered in order to predict fermionic mixing angles. For the first time, a search for the rare decay of the W boson to three charged pions has been performed. Proton-proton collision data recorded by the CMS experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 77.3 fb$^{-1}$, have been analyzed. Generic dijet soft functions at two-loop order: correlated emissions

We present a systematic algorithm for the perturbative computation of soft functions that are defined in terms of two light-like Wilson lines. Our method is based on a universal parametrisation of the phase-space integrals, which we use to isolate the singularities in Laplace space.
