A measurement of WZ electroweak (EW) vector boson scattering is presented. The measurement is performed in the leptonic decay modes WZ$\to \ell\nu\ell'\ell'$, where $\ell, \ell' = $e, $\mu$. The analysis is based on a data sample of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV at the LHC collected with the CMS detector and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$. Signals consistent with the B$^+_\mathrm{c}$(2S) and B$^{*+}_\mathrm{c}$(2S) states are observed in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV, in an event sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb$^{-1}$, collected by the CMS experiment during the 2016, 2017, and 2018 LHC running periods. These excited $\bar{\mathrm{b}}$c states are observed in the B$^+_\mathrm{c}\pi^+\pi^-$ invariant mass spectrum, with the ground state B$^+_\mathrm{c}$ reconstructed through its decay to J/$\psi\,\pi\pi$. Azimuthal correlations of charged particles in xenon-xenon collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of $ \sqrt{s_{_\mathrm{NN}}} =$ 5.44 TeV are studied. A number of important observables exhibit logarithms in their perturbative description that are induced by emissions at widely separated rapidities. These include transverse-momentum ($q_T$) logarithms, logarithms involving heavy-quark or electroweak gauge boson masses, and small-$x$ logarithms. Elastic $Z^{0}$ events $ep\rightarrow eZ^{0}p^{\left(*\right)}$ have been measured in $ep$ collisions at HERA using the ZEUS detector. The analysis is based on the data collected between 1996 and 2007, amounting to 496 pb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity. Shift-Symmetric Orbital Inflation: single field or multi-field?

We present a class of two-field inflationary models, known as`shift-symmetric orbital inflation', whose behaviour is strongly multi-field but whose predictions are remarkably close to those of single-field inflation. In these models, the field space metric and potential are such that the inflaton trajectory is along an `angular' isometry direction whose `radius' is constant but arbitrary. As a result, the radial (isocurvature) perturbations away from the trajectory are exactly massless and they freeze on superhorizon scales....

MSSM Higgs Benchmark Scenarios for Run 2 and Beyond: the low $\tan\beta$ region

We propose two new benchmark scenarios for Higgs-boson searches in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). These scenarios are specifically designed for the low $\tan\beta$ region. A light Higgs-boson mass prediction compatible with the observed value of $125$ GeV is ensured in almost the entire parameter space by employing a flexible supersymmetric (SUSY) mass scale, reaching values of up to $10^{16}$ GeV. Extended objects or "defects" are of fundamental importance in CFT, examples include boundaries, interfaces, and surface defects, and also Wilson and 't Hooft lines in gauge theories.
