This folder consists of Research data management plan (RDMP) and Ethics approval.

TingEtAl2020_DataAnalysis_Chapter3: Robust Valence-Induced Bias on Reaction Time and Confidence

Six datasets and code for data analyses are included. 1. Two published datasets (Lebreton et al., 2019) refer to Data and Data22. Four new datasets refer to Data CCT, Data CCT2, Data CCT3 and Data CCT5.3. The ANOVA and t-test were performed using code "combined_CorrelationAnalysis_RTconf_reversed_CCT.m"4. The GLME analysis was conduced using "combined_glme_RTconf_cct.m", which integrated six scripts of "behav_analysis_ml_RT.m".

Comparison of Software Package Candidates for NACCA Project Database (Benchmark Study)

Dusan Barok
The purpose of the study is to select a software package for a database for documentation of contemporary art, the project database of the New Approaches to Conservation of Contemporary Art (NACCA) network. The database is to be restricted to the NACCA participants to upload their research data for documentation and reference, and, where possible, share their research data with colleagues in the project.

This study investigated the development of young children’s causal inference by studying variability in behavior. Two possible sources of variability, strategy use and accuracy in strategy execution, were discriminated and related to age. To this end, a relatively wide range of causal inference trials was administered to children of a relatively broad age range: 2- to 5-year-olds. Subsequently, individuals’ response patterns over trials were analyzed with a latent variable technique [e.g. 1]. The results showed...

Policies, infrastructure and support: throwing figshare for institutions in the research data management mix

Twemoji Dataset

Collection of 13M tweets divided into training, validation, and test sets for the purposes of predicting emoji based on text and/or images.
The data provides the tweet status ID and the emoji annotations associated with it. In the case of image-containing subsets, the image URL is also listed.
The Full, unbalanced dataset consists of a random test and validation sets of 1M tweets, with the remainder in the training set.
The Balanced testset is a subset of the...

Multicenter, double-blind, randomized clinical trial including 500 patients aged 18 to 75 years with previous surgical treatment for fractures below the knee who were undergoing removal of orthopedic implants from 19 hospitals (17 teaching and 2 academic) in the Netherlands (November 2014-September 2016), with a follow-up of 6 months (final follow-up, March 28, 2017). Exclusion criteria were an active infection or fistula, antibiotic treatment, reimplantation of osteosynthesis material in the same session, allergy for cephalosporins,...

Temporal attention and the SSVEP

, &
Understanding how temporal expectations influence our behaviour has become a growing and exciting fiel for cognitive neuroscience researches. And, to provide further evidence on the psychophysiology of temporal expectations is one the cornerstones to achieve. Because of this we implemented a novel approach where we combined a temporal expectation task with the Stead-state visual evoked potentials (SSVEP). We wanted to evaluate the feasibility of the SSVEP to study temporal attention. Our results provided evidence for...

The role of numbers on spatial attention, a target detection task

, &
In our previous study (the parity judgment task), we provided physiological evidence for the role of numbers in allocating spatial attention as described by the MNL. Here we evaluated whether numbers have an effect in spatial attention when they are not relevant for the task. Participants were requested to ignore the numbers presented on the screen. After the number disappear they should responde if the saw a black box, with the left hand if the...

The role of numbers in allocating spatial attention, a parity classification task

, & Michael S Cohen
It has been proposed that numbers have an effect in allocating spatial attention. In this study I wanted to evaluate the SNARC effect and the proposal that our brain represents numbers in a horizontal mental number line (MNL). In the parity task numbers are relevant for the task but not their magnitude. Participants were requested to classify numbers presented on the screen as even with the right hand and odd with the left hand. The...

Emulating Horizons (2008) by Geert Mul: The challenges of intensive graphics rendering for preservation

Presented at AIC 2018
Graphics in software-based art demand high computing power, and rely on a specific, often proprietary graphics pipeline. Thus, what is the most sustainable preservation strategy for such a
graphics intensive work? What are the preconditions?
