Supplementary File 1 - Fischhoff et al. 2021

Ilya Fischhoff, Adrian Castellanos, Joao Rodrigues, Arvind Varsani & Barbara Han
Document describing supplementary methods adding more detail to those described in the main text. Included are descriptions of gathering trait variables, model parameterization, model evaluation, and information about models run that are not mentioned in the main text. Supplementary Tables 1-3 mentioned in this document can be found in Supplementary Files 2 and 3.

Boxes S1-S2. Supplementary Methods

Barbara Han, Adrian Castellanos, JP Schmidt, Ilya Fischhoff & John M. Drake
Additional information regarding the methods used for the phylogenetic clustering and modeling mentioned in the main text. Data files and code used for these methods are referenced when applicable.

Table S4. Metadata for the trait variables compiled for the boosted regression tree reanalysis

Barbara Han, Adrian Castellanos, JP Schmidt, Ilya Fischhoff & John M. Drake
A detailed description of all of the data columns used in the Carnivore Trait Data file. These data are presented in the form of a table with each row explaining the information found in each trait variable column. Columns include trait description, units the trait is measured in, original source of the trait values, and any additional notes.

Data from Chemical Composition of Rock Salt Brine Compared with Brine from Oil and Gas Wells

Vicky Kelly, Stuart Findlay & Cornelia Harris
This study compared contaminant chemistry of brine made from rock salt with literature data on oil and gas well brine from conventional and unconventional wells. In addition to reviewing existing literature, we analyzed four rock salt samples for a suite of chemical constituents. The data provided here is the results of the analysis of those four rock salt samples. Other unpublished data are available upon request.
