A new proprietary herbomineral formulation was formulated, consisting of essential ingredients viz. herbal root extract ashwagandha and minerals (zinc, magnesium, and selenium). The aim of the study was to evaluate the immunomodulatory potential of Biofield Energy Healing (The Trivedi Effect®) Treatment on the herbomineral formulation in male Sprague Dawley rats. The test formulation was divided into two parts. One part was denoted as the control without any Biofield Energy Treatment, while the other part was...

Static Var Compensator For Weak Grid Systems

Muhammad Kashif Khan, Abdul Basit & Faheem Ali
In our daily routine life majority of electric loads usedare inductive in nature. Adequate supply of active power and reactive power must be supplied to these loads to ensure proper operation. If not provided with required active power and reactive power, these inductive loads burdens the system unnecessarily. Hence resulting in low power factor. In a local electrical distribution system it in uneconomical to upgrade existing network for improvement of power factor. In weak grid system residential...

Gtoc 9: Results From The German Aerospace Center (Team Dlr)

Marcus Hallmann, Markus Schlotterer, Ansgar Heidecker, Marco Sagliano, Federico Fumenti, Volker Maiwald & Rene Schwarz
This paper discusses the methods used by the team from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) for solving the 9th Global Trajectory
Optimization Competition (GTOC) problem. The GTOC is an event taking place every year lasting roughly one month during which
the best aerospace engineers and mathematicians world wide challenge themselves to solve a nearly impossible problem of interplanetary trajectory design.

Mathematical Modelling Of Different Types Of Body Support Surface For Pressure Ulcer Prevention

, , Tamas Hickish & Jonathan Cole
Pressure ulcer is a common problem for today’s
healthcare industry. It occurs due to external load applied to the skin.
Also when the subject is immobile for a longer period of time and
there is continuous load applied to a particular area of human body,
blood flow gets reduced and as a result pressure ulcer develops. Body
support surface has a significant role in preventing ulceration so it is
important to know the characteristics of...

Reconstruction Of Binary Matrices Satisfying Neighborhood Constraints By Simulated Annealing

& Tanuja Srivastava
This paper considers the NP-hard problem of reconstructing binary matrices satisfying exactly-1-4-adjacency constraint from its row and column projections. This problem is formulated into a maximization problem. The objective function gives a measure of adjacency constraint for the binary matrices. The maximization problem is solved by the simulated annealing algorithm and experimental results are presented.

Smart Grid Simulator

Andrei Ursachi & Dorin Bordeasu
The Smart Grid Simulator is a computer software based on advance algorithms which has as the main purpose to lower the energy bill in the most optimized price efficient way as possible for private households, companies or energy providers. It combines the energy provided by a number of solar modules and wind turbines with the consumption of one household or a cluster of nearby households and information regarding weather conditions and energy prices in order...

Solving Stochastic Eigenvalue Problem Of Wick Type

Hassan Manouzi &
In this paper we study mathematically the eigenvalue
problem for stochastic elliptic partial differential equation of Wick
type. Using the Wick-product and the Wiener-Itô chaos expansion,
the stochastic eigenvalue problem is reformulated as a system of an
eigenvalue problem for a deterministic partial differential equation
and elliptic partial differential equations by using the Fredholm
alternative. To reduce the computational complexity of this system,
we shall use a decomposition method using the Wiener-Itô chaos
expansion. Once...

The Design Inspired By Phra Maha Chedi Of King Rama I-Iv At Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklaram Rajwaramahaviharn

The research will focus on creating pattern designs that are inspired by the pagodas, Phra Maha Chedi of King Rama I-IV, that are located in the temple, Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklararm Rajwaramahaviharn. Different aspects of the temple were studied, including the history, architecture, significance of the temple, and techniques used to decorate the pagodas, Phra Maha Chedi of King Rama I-IV. Moreover, composition of arts and the form of pattern designs which all led to...

Three-Level Converters Back-To-Back Dc Bus Control For Torque Ripple Reduction Of Induction Motor

, , , &
This paper proposes a regulation method of back-to-back connected three-level converters in order to reduce the torque ripple in induction motor. First part is dedicated to the presentation of the feedback control of three-level PWM rectifier. In the second part, three-level NPC voltage source inverter balancing DC bus algorithm is presented. A theoretical analysis with a complete simulation of the system is presented to prove the excellent performance of the proposed technique.

Analyzing Behaviour Of The Utilization Of The Online News Clipping Database: Experience In Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University

&
This research aims to investigate and analyze user’s behaviour towards the utilization of the online news clipping database at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Thailand. Data is gathered from 214 lecturers and 380 undergraduate students by using questionnaires. Findings show that most users knew the online news clipping service from their friends, library’s website and their teachers. The users learned how to use it by themselves and others learned by training of SSRU library. Most users...
