This ongoing data set measures precipitation per second at each of 4 locations in the Tromble Weir watershed in the Jornada Basin, Dona Ana County, New Mexico, USA. Precipitation was measured using tipping bucket rain gauges to quantify the water balance in the small experimental watershed. Values have been used to investigate groundwater recharge, soil infiltration rates, and as forcings for hydrologic models.
