Extracellular enzyme activities in the Maumee and Ottawa Rivers (OH) from 1994 to 1995

The data include estimates of bacterial production and apparent Vmax (a measure of catalytic capacity) and apparent Km (a measure of available substrate concentration) for six extracellular enzymes (alpha-glucosidase, beta-glucosidase, aminopeptidase, protease, phosphatase, acetyl esterase) measured in the Maumee and Ottawa Rivers of Ohio (USA). The purpose of the dataset was to integrate the effects of temperature and resource availability on bacterial production using metabolic scaling theory and the kinetics of EEA.
