An Asian rhinoceros skeleton is preserved in the Zoological Museum of the University Federico II of Naples (Italy). The study of the diagnostic characters of the skull has allowed to identify it as Javan rhinoceros, Rhinoceros sondaicus Desmarest, 1822.
