This is an updated version of the Code of Conduct for the Research Data Alliance incorporating community feedback. It was published on 22 March 2018. Information on how to report a breach was added in March 2019.

RDA COVID-19 Zotero Library

The RDA-COVID19-WG Zotero Library was created by the RDA-COVID19-WG to support the development of the RDA-COVID19 Recommendations and Guidelines.

Principles and best practices in data versioning for all data sets big and small

Jens Klump, Lesley Wyborn, Robert Downs, Ari Asmi, Mingfang Wu, Gerry Ryder & Julia Martin
The demand for better reproducibility of research results is growing. More and more data is becoming available online. In some cases, the datasets have become so large that downloading the data is no longer feasible. Data can also be offered through web services and accessed on demand. This means that parts of the data are accessed at a remote source when needed. In this scenario, it will become increasingly important for a researcher to be...

Dynamic Data Citation for frequently modifying High Resolution Climate Data

Chris Schubert
The Climate Change Centre Austria (CCCA) Data Centre expected a comprehensive project outcome of completely new simulated High Resolution Climate Scenarios for Austria in the time range from 1965 till 2100 on a daily basis. For consumption, 13 model runs, 5 meteorological parameters like temperature, 3 emission scenarios, over 1600 NetCDF files with an average size of 13 GB were calculated. How could we implement proper data management processes on such data packages? We were...

FAIR Data Maturity Model: specification and guidelines - draft

The FAIR Data Maturity Model defines a set of indicators, their priorities and evaluation methods for the evaluation of the FAIR principles to be used as a common approach across assessment methodologies.

RDA Regional Partnership Processes Document

This document describes the regional partnership processes of the RDA.

Improving Scholarly Communication, Linking Datasets From Institutional Repositories With ScholeXplorer.

Andrea Mannocci
During the RDA 14th Plenary meeting in Helsinki in October 2019, the RDA interviewed Andrea Mannocci from CNR, partnering in OpenAIRE. The EC-funded initiative aims to support the Open Access policy of the European Commission via a Networking and a Technical infrastructure. In the interview, Mannocci told the OpenAIRE adoption story of the RDA/WDS Publishing Data Services WG Outputs, a framework for sharing information about the links between literature and research data, where he explains...

DS-Wizard Navigation Tool for the RDA COVID-19 Recommendations

Capacity Development Resource Kit

, & Karna Wegner
This Capacity Development Resource Kit presents both the training requirements as defined by the IGAD community and available resources from the aforementioned groups: The Capacity Development for Agriculture Data Working Group conducted a survey to find out more about the training needs that would support the adaption of the working group recommendations. The survey results are presented in this document. This document also includes an overview about available and free training resources in the area...

Use cases and identifier schemes for persistent software source code identification (V1.0)

, Alice Allen, Anita Bandrowski, Peter Chan, Roberto Di Cosmo, Martin Fenner, Leyla Garcia, Morane Gruenpeter, Catherine M. Jones, Daniel S. Katz, John Kunze, Moritz Schubotz & Ilian T. Todorov
Software, and in particular source code, plays an important role in science: it is used in all research fields to produce, transform and analyse research data, and is sometimes itself an object of research and/or an output of research. This output, with inputs from a broad panel of stakeholders, provides an overview of the current state-of-the-art practice in software identification, including use cases and identifier schemes from different academic domains and in industry.

Compilation of Data Versioning Use cases from the RDA Data Versioning Working Group

Jens Klump, Lesley Wyborn, Robert Downs, Ari Asmi, Mingfang Wu, Gerry Ryder & Julia Martin
Data versioning is a fundamental element to ensuring the reproducibility of research. Work in other RDA groups on data provenance and data citation, as well as the W3C Dataset Exchange Working Group, have highlighted that definitions of data versioning concepts and recommended practices are still missing. An important driver to more closely examine data versioning practices came from the work of the RDA Working Group on Data Citation, whose final report recognised the need for...
