Additive manufacturing is suggested as a potential fabrication method, as it can create complex objects directly from the 3D model by stratifying material layer upon layer, and prototypes can be highly customized. In particular dual-material 3d printing technology, that enables the fabrication of a flexible structure (e.g. Ninjaflex, Filaflex) with smart material (e.g. carbon fiber) embedded in selected components (Figure 3), in order to achieve the desired operation
