Studies on thermal comfort and curvature analysis, studying similar structures and functions in nature
Maria Vogiatzaki
The design methodology deploys digital technologies that enable designers to experiment further with complex forms through simulations, towards creating dynamic systems that adapt to different topologies, geometries, scales and environmental conditions. Furthermore, this prototypical textile is inspired both in form and function by scales in nature It consists of an adaptable skeleton, informed by the topology of the body, and aperture-components that open and close in order to achieve natural ventilation and therefore cooling towards...
Pelvic mesh review
Jennifer Todd & Jane Aspell
Screen results from a systematic search for studies that have reported pain associated with pelvic mesh implants. The initial search identified 705 records. This number was reduced to 333 records after applying the inclusion/exclusion criteria.

Energy-SHIFTS Working Group 4 - Transport and Mobility
Energy-SHIFTS consortium
The Energy-SHIFTS Working Groups provided SSH research priority recommendations for four specific (SET-Plan focussed) energy topics. Members were leading energy-SSH researchers, representing wider disciplinary research communities e.g. via leadership of research groups/institutes, Horizon 2020 energy projects, and/or editorial roles for journals.
The Working Groups produced a number of streams of data, including 10 interviews each, and surveys of hundreds of SSH scholars across Europe. Interview and survey protocols were also published by the project (see reference).

Energy-SHIFTS scoping workshop – ‘Evidence in the energy policy process’, Brussels (Belgium); 18 June 2019
Energy-SHIFTS consortium
In the Spring and Summer of 2019, Energy-SHIFTS undertook four scoping workshops based around the multi-stakeholder exploration of four ‘SSH Priority Themes’. Each workshop involved 20-30 participants, plus 2 Early-Stage Researchers, and resulted in tangible recommendations for the organisation of, and maximising the impact of, the rest of Energy-SHIFTS’ project activities.
The core purpose of these workshops was to open up discussion around some of the big energy-SSH issues being funded by the European Commission. We...

Inhibition of MUS81 by siRNA Reverses Resistance to Cisplatin in Human Ovarian Cancer Cell Lines.
Christopher Parris, Emma Bourton, Piers Plowman, Helen Foster, Alyaa Hussein Ali & Sheba Adam-Zahir
I provide raw image files from an Imaging flow cytometer (ISX II). These files were used to provide estimate the cellular content of the endonuclease MuS81 following exposure of human cancer cell lines. This data was used in the submission to BMC Cancer of the manuscript:

Annotated free paraphrases and difficulty of interpretation for 45 novel English noun-noun compounds
Martin Schäfer & Melanie Bell
This is a dataset containing free paraphrases of the meaning of 45 novel English compound nouns, presented in isolation, together with Likert scale ratings of the difficulty of coming up with that meaning. Each compound has a variety of possible interpretations, and the free paraphrases are coded for the interpretation they represent.
All the novel compounds occur just once in ukWaC (Baroni et al. 2009), a 2-billion-word corpus of English. The constituent nouns in the...

Time-measurement expressions from the British National Corpus
Melanie Bell & Carmen Portero Muñoz
This dataset is based on a set of sentences extracted from the British National Corpus (BNC). Each sentence includes one or more time-measurement expressions consisting of a cardinal numeral followed by a time noun, then a second noun, with or without an intervening modifier or modifiers. Semantically, the combination of the numeral plus time noun represents a measurable quantity of the second noun. Here are some examples: · That meant she had a good eight...
