CLAPPP - New Caledonian lagoons: Physics and Phytoplankton processes

Martine Rodier & Robert Arfi
The New Caledonia lagoons show high seasonal and interannual variability (related to El Niño – Southern oscillation – ENSO - variability). They present a great diversity of local situations linked to differences in their geomorphology, to the nature of terrigenous inputs and to varied anthropogenic pressure. This variability impacts the structure of planktonic communities and their biodiversity. The scientific objectives of the CLAPPP project developed on 6 New Caledonia lagoons are : - 1) to...

BERRE Obs.

SOOT-SEA : Impact of Black Carbon in South East Asia

Xavier Mari, Gaelle Uzu, Jean-Luc Jaffrezo, Pamela Dominutti, Sandrine Chifflet, Marc Tedetti, Catherine Guigue, Léa Guyomarc’h , Lars-Eric Heimburger & Patrick Raimbault
The scientific objectives of the project SOOT-SEA the objectives of this study in northern Vietnam are to determine: - (1) the composition of fine particles in order to assess their health, climatic and environmental impacts, - (2) their origin, both geographical and sectoral, - (3) atmospheric deposition fluxes, - (4) fluvial fluxes of black carbon towards the ocean. Study carried out during a complete annual cycle (weekly frequency). Aerosols were sampled for 24 hours using...

RochElec : Geoelectrical investigations on the Rochechouart impact structure (France)

Yoann Quesnel, Pascal Sailhac, Johana Lofi, Philippe Lambert, Pierre Rochette, Minoru Uehara & Christian Camerlynck
The Rochelec dataset gathers petrophysical and geoelectrical data from the Rochechouart impact structure (France). Since 2017, about 10 geophysical field campaigns were performed on this eroded structure. Among other techniques, geophysical downhole logging, electrical resistivity tomography and controlled-source audiomagnetotelluric data were acquired. In parallel, we measured the electrical resistivity and porosity of some core samples coming from drillings performed in fall 2017 at several sites of the impact structure. These multiscale electric data allows to...

Maupiti Hoe 2018

Damien Sous
The scientific objectives of the project MAUPITI HOE are to understand the hydrodynamics of an archetypal reef-lagoon system of a high volcanic reef island. The physical functioning of the hydrosystem involves a fine coupling between water levels, waves (including wind, infragravity and VLF waves), currents and seabed structure (reef roughness). The present data focuses on the reef barrier dynamics.

R-shiny-microorganisms v2 : A ready-to-use logistic regression implemented in R shiny to estimate growth parameters of microorganisms

Marc Garel, Severine Martini, Lloyd Izard, Marthe Vienne & David Nerini
Environmental conditions are a set of physical and biological variables that define an ecosystem. Microorganisms with higher generation times than more complex multicellular organisms are more sensitive to changing environmental conditions. Therefore, microbial growth curves are an important and simple way to understand how environmental conditions affect microorganisms. Growth curves are used in a variety of biological applications. Traditionally in microbiology, the maximum growth rate (µmax) is calculated by fitting a linear model on data...

GeoKarla : Geophysical and petrophysical data of the Karla impact structure

Yoann Quesnel
The GeoKarla dataset gathers geophysical and petrophysical data acquired over the Karla impact structure (Tatarstan, Russia). In September 2019, a field campaign on this eroded and buried structure was performed. Magnetic and gravity field observations were done, as well as geological mapping and sampling. Further petrophysical analyses in laboratory were performed on rock samples. All these data reveal - for the first time - a clear but unusual geophysical signature of the Karla impact structure.

HF RADAR - French Riviera (Mediterranean Institute of Oceanography) - daily surface currents filled with DINEOF

Anne Molcard & Natacha Bourg
Daily High Frequency Radar (HFR) surface current data (radial velocity files and total velocity file) from 2 different stations located on the French Mediterranean coast (Toulon), spanning from January 2012 to December 2019. The radial datasets have been processed to remove outliers. Then, the gaps in the data have been filled using the DINEOF algorithm. The total velocity is then reconstructed from the filled radial velocity files, and projected onto a cartesian grid of 1km...
