We report the results of individual polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) congeners in the surficial freshwater sediment from a wastewater lagoon located in Virginia (USA). PCB congeners were measured using tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) in multiple reaction monitoring mode (MRM), a method that provides a high-level selectivity and sensitivity for PCBs in complex environmental samples. We report the levels of airborne individual PCB concentrations of gas (XAD-2) phases from the City of Chicago in 2009. Twenty-seven locations were sampled for gas phases, where 141 gas phases were collected. One hundred and seventy-one individual or coeluting congener PCBs are reported. Final individual PCB congener concentrations, as well as ambient air temperature (K), and wind speed (m/s) are included.

Field blank masses for all 171 individual congeners for gas (XAD-2) phases are included here. The XAD-2 blank samples were not exposed or opened to the air at any time during the sampling period.

Total organic carbon in soils from East Chicago, Indiana, USA in 2017/2018

The total organic carbon (TOC) content was analyzed for each sample, with the exception of 5 samples. A ceramic sample boat was filled with about 0.2 g of soil and combusted at 900 °C with a Shimadzu Total Organic Carbon Analyzer (TOC-V Series) and Solid Sample Module (SSM-5000A). The measured TOC was divided by the initial sample mass and reported as a percentage.
