Впервые проведена оценка состояния городских почв вблизи одной из автомоек г. Кирова с использованием различных методов физико-химического, микробиологического анализа и фитотестирования. Полученные данные свидетельствуют о высоком уровне загрязнения почв нефтепродуктами, содержание которых превысило условно фоновое значение в 27–173 раза.
