PEAXIS - Combined RIXS and XPS

The station PEAXIS (PhotoElectron Analysis and X-ray Inelastic Spectroscopy) is a fixed station installed at the U41-PEAXIS beamline. It is dedicated to studies of angle-resolved RIXS (Resonant Inelastic X-ray Scattering) and PES (PhotoElectron Spectroscopy) on solids. The station is equipped with an electron energy analyzer and a RIXS spectrometer. Various sample manipulators can be installed in the sample chamber. The RIXS arm is continuously rotatable on a supporting rail in a range of 106 degrees.

E6 - Focusing Powder Diffractometer

E6 uses a horizontally and vertically bent monochromator [1] and an in-pile fan collimator [2, 3]. The fan collimator imitats a vertical slit with adjustable distance to the monochromator. This diffraction geometry achieves a focusing in reciprocal space. At medium resolution, the neutron flux is increased by a factor of two compared with diffractometers that use standard Soller collimators.

High Magnetic Field Facility for Neutron Scattering consists of two main components: the High Field Magnet (HFM) and the Extreme Environment Diffractometer (EXED). The former is a dedicated 26 T hybrid magnet, built by the HZB in collaboration with the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (Florida, US). UE48_EMIL - Soft x-ray EMIL Beamline

U41-PEAXIS - PEAXIS - Combined RIXS and XPS

V4 - Small Angle Scattering Instrument (SANS)

V4 allows for the measurement of density composition and magnetization fluctuations in materials on a length scale from 0.5 nm to 400 nm. At short distance the 2D-detector can be moved vertically by 0.17 m, extending the Q range to even higher values.
