R Martin
This paper explores the idea that audience interaction in improvised performance can challenge and, in turn, change the way that audience members understand relationships and structures in society. I propose that it is the visceral experience of simulated social relations during a performance that facilitates this reframing in the audience. This concept is examined with regards to Digital Monkeys, an internet-based, audience-interactive improvisation that aims to achieve this very goal. Specifically, Digital Monkeys aims to...
Potentiometric alkali titration data for the full tripeptide set composed from the combination of Glutamic acid (Glu, E), Glycine (Gly, G) and Histidine (His, H), measured between pH 3-12
Rima Raffoul Khoury
Peptides were purchased from Genosphere, Sigma Aldrich and Bachem companies. All the peptides were chemically synthesised. Aldrich and Bachem supplied the peptides as their Zwitterionic form, Genosphere synthesised the peptides as tri-fluoro acetic salt TFA salts. The peptides were of purity higher than 98% and were used without any further purification. All peptides solutions were prepared at 0.001M concentration in milliQ water, Hydrochloric acid HCl 0.002M in order to have relatively the same initial pH of...

FTIR spectra of Dihydropyrollone Analogues
Danmar Gloria
- Analogues of Dihydropyrollone were characterised using UV-Vis spectroscopy- The FTIR spectra were acquired using a Perkin Elmer FTIR instrument equipped with a Universal-ATR accessory where sample are pressed on a diamond crystal. Measurement parameters are contained within the data.
The characterisation data of selected ZnO and TiO2 particles
Amanda Hayes
Physiochemical properties play an important role in the biological activity of nanoparticles, especially when assessing nanotoxicity. Nanoparticles have unique properties due to their surface area, shape, size, and structure, hence they can be expected to have different toxicities when compared to conventional size materials. Therefore, in order to provide a better understanding of the toxicity of ZnO and TiO2 nanoparticles, the particle size distribution, crystalline structure, composition, and surface area have been studied. The aim...

Extinction Spectra of 1,4-Benzenedimethanethiol on Gold Nano Pillars with varying dimensions
Danmar Gloria
Through direct write electron beam lithography, periodic patterns with well-defined nano-roughness were fabricated reproducibly with varying pillar distance and size. Upon functionalization with 1, 4-benzenedimethanethiol, the optical reflectivity spectra of the surface were measured in the visible and near infrared at normal incidence using a custom built optical arrangement on Olympus BX 51 microscope (Photonics Lab UNSW School of Physics). In this set-up, a USB2000+ miniature fibre optic spectrometer (Ocean Optics Inc., USA), having a...
Barriers to HIV Testing Data
Henrike Körner & Augustine Asante
These data resulted from a study of the reasons for delayed HIV testing, particularly among people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. There are two components to the data, one quantitative, the other qualitative. The quantitative component collected demographic and socio-economic data, along with data about people''s use of health services, attitudes towards HIV and perceptions of stigma. These were linked with the patients'' HIV-related clinical data to identify patients who were diagnosed late and...
Breast Cancer Subclassification
Lena Caruso
A consecutive series of 748 women with primary invasive breast cancer treated with breast conserving surgery at a single institution between 1984 and 1995. From these individuals a tumour tissue block for construction of microarrays was obtained from 370 cases. Data on systemic adjuvant therapy is available for 364 cases, of these 185 received no adjuvant treatment, 61 received CMF chemotherapy, 115 received endocrine therapy (Tamoxifen) and 3 received both chemotherapy and endocrine therapy. Date...
NMR of Fimbrolide Analogues
Danmar Gloria
Several analogues of Fimbrolide were characterised using NMR spectroscopy. The NMR spectra were acquired using Avance III - 300 MHz instrument Gyro, with a SampleXpress autosampler upgrade and commissioned in 2011.
Ageing Effects of Microfiltration Membranes using Break Extension Analysis
Greg Leslie
This project uses break extension analysis to generate a stress strain curve for hollow fibre microfiltration membranes in order to determine their breaking force, maximum elongation and young's modulus. The membranes used from this project have been sourced from membrane autopsies conducted at the UNESCO Centre for Membrane Science and Technology.
Break Extension Testing of Hollow Fibre Microfiltration Membranes
Greg Leslie
A collection of break extension analysis for a range of commercially available hollow fibre microfiltration and ultrafiltration membrane. These analyses were conducted on a TA.XTPlus Texture Analyzer and generate a stress-strain curve from which the maximum elongation, breaking force and Young's modulus are determined. This collection may be used as a reference for these membranes in ageing and fouling studies. The dataset contains sampled from Seimens, Pall and Akzo Nobel membranes.
UV Vis Spectra of Indole Analogues
Danmar Gloria
Several analogues of Indoles were characterised using UV-Vis spectroscopy. The UVVis spectra were acquired using Perkin Elmer Lambda Spectrometer. The samples were dissolved in methanol. Measurement parameters are contained within the data.
