The Dragonfly Mercury Project is a national scale research, monitoring, and education program that engages community volunteers to help monitor contamination of National Parks using dragonfly larvae as bioindicators. This geospatial dashboard offers an interactive tool to examine the spatial and temporal distribution of total mercury concentrations in dragonfly larvae from 468 unique locations across 119 National Park units and other protected lands throughout the US between 2014 and 2021.

Interactive Map: USGS SIM 3464 Geologic Map of Jezero Crater and the Nili Planum Region
Vivian Z. Sun & Kathryn M. Stack
The cratered highlands located northwest of Isidis Planitia have been recognized as one of the best preserved Noachian landscapes currently exposed on Mars; the area hosts a record of diverse surface processes, diagenesis, and aqueous alteration. This region has consistently been considered a high priority for landed-mission exploration and includes the anticipated landing site of the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover within Jezero crater. Past mapping, focused on Jezero crater and the surrounding area, Nili Planum,...

Drinking-water (from public and private water supply sources) can be a route of human exposure to multiple chemicals and chemical mixtures which can occur naturally in the source water, result from environmental contamination, or be introduced through water treatment and transport. This geonarrative highlights work (extensive monitoring and analysis) and results (measured contaminants in drinking water sources) from the USGS Drinking Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Team's studies into tapwater exposures.
