The thermal properties of bimetallic Pt nanowires have been investigated using classical interatomic potentials. Edge decorated Pt nanowires may improve the inter-facet exchange of reaction intermediates resulting in improved oxygen reduction reaction activities at fuel call cathode electrodes.
