Draix-Bleone is a Research Observatory focused on the study of erosion, hydrology and sediment transport processes in mountains. Several catchments of size ranging from 0.1 to 22 km2 and with varying vegetation cover and morphology are monitored. Available data includes high frequency time series of water and sediment fluxes, precipitations, climate, soil hydric state records, MNT and vegetation maps. The observatory is also used for a large-scale experimentation on sediment trapping with bioengineering structures.
