Rh3P2 crystallizes in the tetragonal P-4m2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Rh sites. In the first Rh site, Rh is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent P atoms. All Rh–P bond lengths are 2.33 Å.
