Li4Mn3Cl10 is beta indium sulfide-derived structured and crystallizes in the monoclinic Cm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are sixteen inequivalent Li1+ sites. In the first Li1+ site, Li1+ is bonded to six Cl1- atoms to form LiCl6 octahedra that share corners with three LiCl4 tetrahedra and edges with six MnCl6 octahedra.
