Ca3(Cu2Sn)4 is Hexagonal Laves-derived structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3mc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ca is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to eight Cu and six Sn atoms. There are a spread of Ca–Cu bond distances ranging from 3.13–3.62 Å.
