KEu(CuTe2)2 crystallizes in the tetragonal P4mm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. K1+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight Te2- atoms. There are four shorter (3.53 Å) and four longer (3.72 Å) K–Te bond lengths. Eu3+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight Te2- atoms.
