CsRe3(S2Br)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Cs1+ is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four S2- and five Br1- atoms. There are a spread of Cs–S bond distances ranging from 3.66–4.08 Å. There are a spread of Cs–Br bond distances ranging from 3.70–3.92 Å. There are three inequivalent Re3+ sites.
