NH4ClO4 is Silicon tetrafluoride-derived structured and crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pna2_1 space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of four ammonium molecules and four ClO4 clusters. In each ClO4 cluster, there are four inequivalent O2- sites.
