MgC4H10(N2O3)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two MgC4H10(N2O3)2 sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. there are two inequivalent Mg2+ sites. In the first Mg2+ site, Mg2+ is bonded in an octahedral geometry to six O2- atoms. There are a spread of Mg–O bond distances ranging from 2.10–2.18 Å. In the second Mg2+ site, Mg2+ is bonded in an octahedral geometry to six O2- atoms....
