NaZnP2O7HCl crystallizes in the tetragonal P4_12_12 space group. The structure is three-dimensional and consists of eight hydrochloric acid molecules and one NaZnP2O7 framework. In the NaZnP2O7 framework, there are two inequivalent Na sites. In the first Na site, Na is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to eight O atoms.
