Ce(WO4)2 crystallizes in the cubic P2_13 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ce4+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form CeO6 octahedra that share corners with six WO4 tetrahedra. There are three shorter (2.23 Å) and three longer (2.27 Å) Ce–O bond lengths. There are two inequivalent W6+ sites. In the first W6+ site, W6+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form distorted WO4 tetrahedra that share corners with three equivalent CeO6 octahedra....
