Dy2RuCu is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Dy is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Ru and four equivalent Cu atoms. All Dy–Ru bond lengths are 2.97 Å. All Dy–Cu bond lengths are 2.97 Å. Ru is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Dy atoms. Cu is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Dy atoms.
