CsAgO crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Cs1+ is bonded in a rectangular see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent O2- atoms. There are two shorter (3.03 Å) and two longer (3.16 Å) Cs–O bond lengths. Ag1+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent O2- atoms. Both Ag–O bond lengths are 2.09 Å.
