Methodological Challenges in Studying the Impact of Domestic Violence on Children's Human Capital: An Application to Colombia

This paper examines the effects of intimate-partner violence (IPV) against the mother on the educational outcomes of her children ages 6-14. We explore the potential non-random selection of children into situations where they are exposed to IPV using non-parametric matching methods and parametric instrumental variables methods.
