Redox active quinonoid ligands and their metal complexes are gaining increasing attention because of their wide importance in inorganic, organic, physical and even in bio-chemistry. In this doctoral thesis structural and electronic properties of mono- and dinuclear ruthenium complexes of non-innocent quinonoid bridging ligands have been investigated.
