Climate change is an important contributor to the modification of many bumblebee species’ range boundaries. It was linked to widespread decline at the southern edge of their distribution and to their inability to colonize new areas at the northern edge. Additionally, bumblebee decline is aggravated by other anthropogenic threats like land use change, agricultural practices and pathogen spillover.
