A rectangular Waveguide with Dielectric Coatings as a dedicated Wakefield Dechirper at ELBE

Based on the Rayleigh-Ritz method and an eigenmode expansion of the wake function, we devised a semi-analytical description of the wakefield inside a dielectrically lined rectangular waveguide. We implemented this method and employed it to determine the geometrical parameters of a dedicated dechirper for the use at the light source ELBE in Dresden-Rossendorf.
