This study is to investigate the molecular mechanisms of anoxia-induced suspended animation and recovery in Saccharomyces cerevisiae (budding yeast). A genome-wide deletion gene mutant screening in budding yeast has been performed. The viability of the candidate mutants with single gene knockout was examined by assay based on fluorescent dyes.
