Heat treatment simulations provide a new capability to understand and predict complicated responses, where thermal, mechanical, and microstructural effects are coupled. Simulations using DANTEĀ® compared the response of carburized and non-carburized 4120, 4320, and 8620 to oil and high intensity quenching.
