First records of Atherinella panamensis in the Central Mexican Pacific coasts

The southern Pacific Atherinella panamensis Steindachner, 1875 is reported in the Pacific Central Mexican Coasts for the first time. A total of 25 specimens (36.9 to 67.9 mm SL) were caught between December 10, 2010 and February 17, 2011 in two different localities of Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán, Mexico.
