Intimate Partner Sexual Violence
Nicola Helps, Isobel Montgomery & Mackenzie Conner
Most sexual violence (SV) experienced by women is perpetrated by intimate partners (Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) 2017), and intimate partner sexual violence (IPSV) is a significant indicator of escalating frequency and severity of intimate partner violence (IPV). IPSV is both SV and IPV, yet it is not wholly captured within either of these domains and warrants separate attention.
