Whole-body magnetic resonance in localization of a compartment syndrome in a high-voltage injury – a case-report

An 18-year-old male is suffering from a high-voltage injury and within only few hours develops very high serum levels of creatine kinase as well as brown colored urine. This indicates a compartment syndrome, but it is not possible to find its exact location only by clinical means. Therefore we immediately performed a MRI of the whole body.
