The Würm-periglacial deposits of southern Bavaria are composed in the following manner: solifluction deposits at the base, thereupon a loess with an intercalated soil, which may have the form of a brown weathering horizon, a tundra-gley, or a solifluction deposit according to landscape and position. In the Riß/Würm-Interglacial a Braunerde-soil (according to the definition of Ramann) has developed on Loess. At the end of the interglacial period the Braunerde was transformed into a „gleyartigen Boden"...
