Interstadiale Torfe in würmeiszeitlichen Schmelzwassersanden Nordfrieslands

Ernst Dittmer
In Northern Friesland (Schleswig-Holstein) fluvioglacial deposits of Würmian age contain an interstadial peat layer. It belongs to a warmer phase (with Betula, Pinus etc.) between two advances of the Würm-glaciation. In this warmer retreat-phase no melting-water was going to the west, whereas in the foregoing and in the following stages the fluvioglacial sands in Northern Friesland were deposited.
