Spätglaziale äolische Ablagerungen in einigen Mittelgebirgen Hessens

Ernst Schönhals
Aeolian deposits, which have been found in the high parts of Vogelsberg, Taunus and Rhön (Western Germany) were transported probably by western winds. It is a local material, which didn't come from afer. The age of this aeolian cover is Late-Glacial, presumably belonging to the Younger Dryas time. In the higher parts of the above-mentioned mountains, the climate of the Younger Dryas time was periglacial.
