Recent drilling and building construction activities in the downs of Grone have brought manifacetted late Pleistocene to Holocene formations to light. These data, collected over a range of 2,5 km, have been used to clarify the problems of the relative age of these formations and to parallelize them with the deposits of the neighbouring Leine valley (Fig. 2).
