Die Bedeutung des Feinheitsgrades als geomorphologische Auswertungsmethode

Helmut Siebertz
The degree of fineness is an index of the composition of sedimentary samples and makes it easear to compare different samples to each other. It also helps (1) to classify sedimentary deposits (to set up sediment nomenclatures), (2) to distinguish between areas of different sediments, (3) to reconstruct paleogeographical wind directions and (4) to define the soil class.
