The oldest gravel bodies in the Southern Iller-Lechplatte area (German alpine foreland) as the Hochfirst and the Stoffersberg are surely of pleistocene age. The palaeo-rivers of the Iller and the Lech must have had during the accumulation the same catchment area as the glaciers and the fluvioglacial rivers of the Donau- and the following younger glaciations.
