1. At the middle Weser the change from a braided to a meandering river took place at the latest during the Alleröd, possibly already during the Bölling. During the Alleröd high-flood loam was deposited by a meandering river. The large paleomeanders on the Stolzenau Terrace developed during the Late Glacial. A higher level of the Stolzenau Terrace can be distinguished. It seems to be a transitional terrace between the "Niederterrasse" (accumulated by a braided river)...
