Preliminary report on the middle Pleistocene small mammal fauna from Yarimburgaz Cave in Turkish Thrace

From cave sediments of Yarimburgaz Cave in Turkish Trace two faunal assemblages are described. In addition to taxa present in the area today the limited fauna of the older Cycle I contains only Cricetus cricetus. The Cycle III produced a much richer fauna and contained most of the archeological material excavated form this cave.
