Die Schwermineral-Verteilung im Quartärprofil der Forschungsbohrung Tüschenbek (Schleswig-Holstein)

Dierk Henningsen & Hans-Jürgen Stephan
Samples of Quaternary sands from the Tüschenbek research drilling (Schleswig-Holstein) show variations in heavy mineral composition related to the stratigraphic position: The amount of opaque and stable minerals as well as that of epidote decreases from the Elsterian to younger series, whereas the amount of hornblende increases. Reworking of Tertiary sediments presumably is responsible lor the renewed increase of stable minerals in the Weichselian samples.
